FREE Spanish Dictionary - iCaramba Spanish Course App Reviews

I really like this app and COULD have found it very useful, but since it limits you to sorting only Spanish words alphabetically, it really does me (or anyone else, Im guessing) no good. See, I live close to Mexico, so this app would be very helpful to me (I speak at about a 40%-50% proficiency level). I think most people that would use this are going to want to translate from English (since we think in English) to Spanish. So if you have to scroll through the entire dictionary to find the English word you want to translate (perhaps only to find that its not even included) then itll get old really fast. That may also be why there are a high number of one and two star ratings. People find that its too much trouble to find the word that they want and decide to delete the app, giving it a one or two star rating in the process. If most or many people are like me, they probably base app choice on app ratings. Also, if people find the app useful, then theyll want to buy the Standard version for the larger vocabulary. I truly would like to like this app, but this minor limitation puts me off, yet even with that, I gave it 3 stars.

NimNod: Why would you scroll through down the entire page when you have the buttons at the top to do that for you? Pros: + Easy to find the words (great buttons at the top to do that for you). + That you can listen to all the words. + Like the look of it, especially the cartoonish guy :) Cons: - Not as many words as I would have liked. - You cant sort in English. Ok, this is the LITE-version, so I guess the last con isnt really fair since the full version enables you to sort in English too. In sum I give it 4 stars mainly because I want more words.

This app is horrible!! It has NONE of the words I have tried to look up! And the sound doesnt work. Maybe its just my phone, I dont know. But seriously! I thought it said it had all Spanish words?!

The word are so that you can learn Spanish ONE by ONE if u want to sort out english word buy the damn other version and stop complaining. If not SHUT your piehole and appreciate this VERY GOOD app.

Yes, its free, but very far from worth it even so. Useless.

What happened to the audio? It used to work.

This app is pretty cool but there arent a lot of words. All the words that I tried to look up werent there. I thought that there would be more.. But hey, its free! And the buttons at the top are convient. And its cool that it has audio. But I dot think Im going to keep it...

Nearly impossible to use without triggering a "buy the full version" button or link. And the paid-for version is disappointing. The sound is poor and the selection of words is unhelpful.

Terrible navigation, extremely limited usage. Not even worth free. One star because that is required, bit should be negative stars!!

I think it could be better a lot better. I deleted after I couldnt find simple words!! Thumbs down all the way!!!

Rly this app is the worst Spanish app ever (not trying to be harsh) at least use a women voice but nice effort

The free version is really disappointing, I understanding wanting to charge for work on an app, however dont offer such a crippled free version in the first place.

The audio feature us nice, but the narrator does not pronounce the "e" at the end of words correctly. Also would be nice if you could search by the English word in addition to the Spanish word.

The lite version showed just how boring and confusing the full version would be, youre better off just reading a dictionary in Spanish.

One star because it installed with a problem.

It keeps taking you to iTunes to buy full version. Deleted it 5 minutes after installing it.

Not really a lite version, just a link to buy the full version. What a waste.
